The MARATONE Outreach Activities reflect the objective of increasing public awareness of the centrality of mental health issues to the lives of Europeans, individually, and the impact of mental health on society at large.
MARATONE researchers act as ambassadors to spread the word about the importance of mental health issues to Europeans.
The Public Workshops being held by MARATONE researchers and coordinated by associate partner European Brain Council (EBC) are part of the EBC initiative for the 2014 “The Year of the Brain”, during which EBC will be engaged in cross-European public outreach and dissemination activities.
Given the European Alliance Against Depression (EAAD) experience and success in organising and carrying out public campaigns raising awareness about depression in Europe, MARATONE researchers have the possibility of collaborating with EAAD preparing awareness raising events, which present the results and message of MARATONE to the public.
